Being content with what you have.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Mark 8:36 KJV

I love this verse. I actually just figured out the meaning…Allow me to share my testimony.

I was a lover of myself. I loved things. I loved all things of the world. I always wanted more of something, rather it would be clothes, a change of a hairstyle, new car, new house whatever that required me to get MORE!

I never been into labels or anything. I just wanted to be considered fashionable or wanted to “rise above”just to make something look awesome when it really wasn’t.

Don’t get me wrong! I still enjoy my makeup and clothes and all things girly girl. I just don’t rely only on getting more stuff. I don’t rely on “things” to make me happy.

I realized I needed Jesus and he would give me the desires of my heart. I figured that if I pursued  a relationship with him for real, then everything else would follow.

(Psalm 37:4 And he will give you the desires of your heart.)

After getting to know Jesus and building a relationship with him. I realized that all the things I thought I needed. I didn’t!! #TeamJesus

How can I gain everything of this world but lose my soul in the end? My pending goal is too spend eternity in Heaven.. I much rather be a lover of Jesus! Gain a much deeper relationship with God. I don’t need stuff to complete me. I don’t need it to make me happy. (Whoa..! Breathe I felt myself on a roll!) #HolyFire

All I’m saying is: God is still allowing us to live on this earth for a reason but it’s  not to be a lover of the materialistic things that this world have to offer, but just to simply enjoy it…Be content. Serve him.

(1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in it, for whoever loves the world does not have the love of the Father in him)

Be content in whatever state your in, Be grateful for what you have, Praise God at all times!

(Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus)

♡I am so Blessed, and so are YOU♡

I love this… its so easy to get wrapped up into what society say you should look like, act like, dress like etc… but once you find out what Christ is like then you no longer conform to what the world is pressuring you to be. When you renew ur mind and trust who you are in Jesus, then those “things” you were once so desperate to have, no longer can compete or compare to whom you are in Him. Lets continue to be content with who we are, what we have, where we are, right now…. because He is positioning us to become our true selfs.
